Pozo in july 2009

Took a 5 days trip to Pozo the week before the worldcup and had a great time, sailing 4,4m2 everyday. There was some pretty serious action out on the water since the worldcup sailors where training for the competition this week. One of the highlight has to be the double forward by Victor Lopez that I managed to get pictures of.

Waiting for wind in Varberg

This weekend I took a roadtrip to Varberg. I knew that Lista would be a bether bet but I had to pick up two masts with a friend in Stenungsund. That meant that Lista was out of the question.

In Varberg we woke up to no wind and some rain on saturday, the rain disapeared, but the wind didn't show up. Some of my friends went out kiting, while I rigged my 5,3m2 and waited......and waited,

After I while I grabbed my gear and went out just to get in the water.

Sunday started almost without wind and the kiters had a blast, while I was waiting and waiting and........and at last the wind came. In the end I got a great session in Lejet with my new Goya wave 5,3m2 and my 95 l waveboard. After apprx. 3 ,5 hour of sailing I packed up and went home to Oslo as a happy man,

Another nukin day at Larkollen & the CL-Final

Last wedensday we had another great day at Larkollen. It was blowing cats & dogs and we also got some desent waves, if you can enjoy onshore conditions. I also got to test my new Goya W3D 4,4m2 and even without a perfect mast they fealt great, looking forward to test the other sails as well.
After almost 4 hours on the water we headed back to Oslo and was looking forward to watching the Champions League final between ManUtd and Barca. I had taped the match so we was able to watch it "live", it started great but ended with a nightmare about 2 o'clock in the night. Thank god we didn't drop the sailing to watch the match live.

What a kickoff

Finaly the seasson was kicked off with two great days at Larkollen, I had at soft start last saturday but the wind was so light that it hardly could count as a good surfsession. This weekend how ever delivered the goods, and plenty off it. Some off my friends even managed to get a deasent session on thursday while I was stuck at work. But with two days of 4,4m2 sailing I got plenty off quality sailing during friday afternoon and entire saturday. We got some good onshore waves on friday and was very pleased with that. On saturday the win was more or less the same but the was where missing until the wind increased in the afternoon. I rigged my 3,7m2 and we had two great hours in the afternoon with some great conditions, the waves was great for Larkollen and those of us who was out enjoying them had a blast, jumping and "riding" until our arms couldn't take any more. Many thanks to Greg who took time off the water to shoot some pictures off us from the beach.

Winter 2009

Winter 2009

What a winter, the snow just won't stop falling down and it almost makes me forget waves and wind. It's just 3 months since we was in Jeri, enjoying the life of a surfbum on the beach, windsurfing everyday. At the moment I can honestly say that I don't miss it, because the conditions for crosscountryskiing is so great at the moment. I have been skiing 3-4 days every week in january and february. And with all the snow we have at the moment it looks like we will be able to keep on skiing until late april. Then I hope my new Goya Sails has arrived. Until then enjoy my pictures from a wonderful Norwegian winter.

Leaving Jeri

After more than two weeks in paradise, it's time to pack our gear and leave for home. Transport to Fortaleza can be arranged in many different ways. If you don't take a chopper you will have to drive over dunes of sand, roads who dissapear when it't high tide and regular dirtroads. We had booked a Rang Rover, thank God for that. The local buss was more suited as a tourist attraction than transport to Fortaleza witch is over 5 hours south of Jeri.After 5 hours drive, the flight home went smooth but it was a realy shock to land in Oslo in ice cold zero degrees, it was about 30-35 degrees when we left Jeri.

Show at Mama Africa

We had a great night at a local night club called "Mama Africa" where some local group were performing a great show, starting at 1 o'clock in the night. Mama Africa is a nightclub in Jeri. Located in the midle of nowhere in a city in the midle of nowhere. The locals says just go from the mainstreet against the sand dunes, just about when you think you are lost, then you will start hearing music, and there it is. In the midle of nowhere.
